We at BPFNA~Bautistas por la Paz abhor the violence that took the life of two people in Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13.
“Violence never really deals with the basic evil of the situation,” wrote the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “It is always a descending spiral leading nowhere. This is the ultimate weakness of violence: It multiplies evil and violence in the universe. It doesn’t solve any problems.”
We pray for not only for an end to violence of firearms, but also for an end to the violence of mind and heart that seeks to normalize violent division.
