Anti-Imperialism & Decolonization
A collection of resources on decolonization, reconciliation, and white supremacy as they relate to Indigenous peoples.
Anti-Racism
“Thank God people are in the streets, refusing to accept what has been seen as normal for far too long. What a shame it would be if this nation could watch a policeman murder another human being, then pose like a hunter with his prey while his colleagues looked on, and there not be protest, anguish, anger, outrage, and moral disruption.”
— Rev. Dr. William Barber & Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis
Apartheid-Free
Inspired by the anti-apartheid movement that toppled the apartheid regime in South Africa, the Apartheid-Free Communities Initiative is building an anti-apartheid movement and encourage faith communities and all communities of conscience to step away from any and all support to Israeli apartheid, occupation, and settler colonialism.
Indigenous Peoples’ Day
In 1977 indigenous delegates to the United Nations asked that member countries adopt Indigenous Peoples' Day to replace Columbus Day in October, due to Christopher Columbus's role in both persecuting the original inhabitants of the islands he colonized and in establishing the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.
LGBTQ Pride
"Lest we forget, pride did not start out as rainbows and parades. It was protests and riots led by black and brown queer people against police brutality against our community. Happy pride month; act up, act out, and be safe."
— Whitney Campbell, MFT
