Rev. Dr. Kadia A. Rowe, a native of St. Catherine, Jamaica, answered her call to ministry in 2002 while serving as a Chapel Assistant at Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Duke University where she received her Master of Divinity. Prior to her enrollment at Duke, in May of 2005, Kadia graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. In 2021, Kadia graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Her dissertation concentration in Theology, Ethics, and Narratives informs her multivalent methodological approach to racial healing.

Dr. Rowe is licensed and ordained to public ministry in the American Baptist Churches denomination. Kadia has served as youth and young adult pastor, executive director, chaplain among other positions since her call to ministry. Currently, she is a cultural humility practitioner which allows her to travel the country facilitating trainings and workshops regarding storytelling for racial healing. She also serves as both teaching faculty and conflict transformation coach for the ENGAGE Youth Theology Institute. In June of 2015, Rowe became a certified Conflict Transformation (CT) trainer, and she specializes in CT training related to racial unrest. Rev. Rowe has authored articles and chapters in a variety of books, covering topics on storytelling and racial healing.
