Eugenia has been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., since 1999. She is a founding member of the Latino Ministry at Calvary. Born and raised in El Salvador, from the lenca-Pipil indigenous tribe Yucuiquin, she works in the educational system in Washington, D.C., as a bilingual educator from pre-Kindergarten to adult in the public and charter schools.

Her ultimate goal in life is to touch many lives as she can through her teaching skills. As a Christian, she seeks to find ways to work for peace and justice with the Spanish-speaking community for a better world.

Eugenia’s biggest achievements have been getting all her education from her country, El Salvador, validated and finishing her master's degree in the U.S.
